Gifted & Talented Program
The Polson School District is facing a significant budget shortfall for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. One of the measures to help mitigate this shortfall is to move our K-12 Gifted Education Specialist into a regular classroom position (filling the hole left by someone retiring). This move is a cost-saving measure, not a desire to specifically eliminate the program and its services. However, that is the unfortunate net result if we can’t find outside funding for the program and its opportunities for next year.
