Polson's Traffic Education Program

Where a lifetime of safe driving habits are learned

The summer session starts in May. It will run into summer, for the month of June. 8th graders may apply, if they are 14.5 years of age at the start of the session. During the month of June, when school is out, you must have a flexible schedule, and be available to go to class and drive during normal school hours.

The Traffic Education program has been in Polson for over 30 years. The group of instructors are invested in teaching safe driving habits that will last a lifetime.  There are on average four opportunities a year to enroll in the program.

Currently, Polson has three Traffic Education Instructors. To be an instructor in the state of Montana, the instructors have, or are earning, a teaching endorsement and a minor from Montana State University Northern.
