SERVE Projects are an excellent way to get involved, to help others, and to address community needs. When applying for jobs, colleges, and scholarships, it is helpful to have documented volunteering experience.  In order to officially complete a SERVE project and to have your volunteer hours listed on your PHS transcript, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Find an organization that you would like to volunteer at or a community need that you would like to address.  Select a mentor from that organization who can sign off on the hours that you complete.

  2. Submit a SERVE Project Proposal Online (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSedEf3R5h0q2ka7tpc8x0FcL1abvYolhrL3YA2HP7ZshYa0fQ/viewform?usp=sf_link)

  3. Volunteer at least 20 hours, document them, and have your mentor sign off on them.

  4. Type up a 1-page reflection on your experience (what you liked, what you learned etc.).  Turn in your 1-page reflection and your hour documentation (with mentor signature) to Mrs. Wade.
