The prestigious P.E.O. STAR Scholarship, for the 2019-20 academic year, was awarded to Shea McGuinness, a 2019 graduate of Polson High School. The scholarship certificate was presented at a recent meeting by P.E.O. Chapter CA President Lynn Gardner.

Shea is the daughter of Chris and Debbie McGuinness and was recommended for this scholarship by Chapter CA of Polson, Montana.

McGuinness has been accepted and will attend Montana State University in Bozeman this fall where she will major in pre-med with an emphasis in OB-GYN.

The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is a $2,500 award based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. The program is open to young women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States or Canada and who are graduating high school seniors at the time of application. A student must be recommended by a P.E.O. chapter.
