Congratulations to State Champion tennis singles player Shea McGuinness and 4th Place doubles team Kyler Lundeen and Berkely Ellis on their outstanding play last weekend. The Lady Pirates are the 2018 TEAM CHAMPIONS. Congratulations to all the girls on the tennis team.

Do you have an interest in the field of Dentistry? Is so, please see Mrs. Wade in the counseling office. We will be taking a trip down to SKC on Thursday morning, May 31st to learn about their Dental Assisting program and dual enrollment opportunities.

Attention Juniors!!!! Fundraising begins this summer for all Juniors planning to apply for the 2019 Valley Bank Community Scholarship. Please complete an application and join the remind group by texting 81010 with @2019vb in the message to receive information and updates. UPWARD BOUND: Joanne will be back at PHS next Tuesday and Thursday, May 29 and 31.

Anyone thinking about playing football for the 2018 season should stop by Coach Danley’s room to pick up a schedule of summer events.

Aviation Career Exploration Academy - Helena - June 26-27 for high school students interested in aeronautics. Flights in general aviation airplanes, tours of the Helena control tower, a fly-in, and other aviation experiences will be offered. Cost of the camp is $120 which includes meals and lodging Contact Jake Hemphill, Safety and Education Bureau Chief, for questions at 406-444-9568 or at jahemphill@mt.gov.

Applications for the 2018 Tribal Health Youth Leadership Program Employment Opportunities are available in the Counseling Center. The program runs from June 11 to August 10. Current sophomores, juniors, and seniors can apply. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required. Applications are due May 29, 2018

Yearbooks will arrive this month. We have a few left on a first come, first served basis. Once they are gone they cannot be reordered. Get yours now! $50 paid in the office to Debi.

Tech4Good/ Native Tech Summer Camp will be held at SKC June 11-15. The theme this year is WATER IS LIFE. Students will gain skills in design thinking, cybersecurity, data collection and analysis, programming, and media design and editing. There is no cost to attend the camp. Apply at tech4good.ske.edu

IS COLLEGE IN YOUR FUTURE? Salish Kootenai College Upward Bound is a year-round college-preparatory program currently seeking applications from interested, eligible 9th-11th grade PHS students. Applications are in the guidance office and should be completed as soon as possible to be considered for entrance into the Upward Bound summer program. Please see Joanne Morrow if you have any questions. Joanne is in the high school library during and after school on most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Pennies for Patients boxes are distributed throughout the school by the National Honor Society. Please donate your loose change to help children with leukemia.

Senior party tickets are on sale in the main office, $10.00. Don't miss out on the fun and great prizes!

HELP WANTED / JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

DHRD Summer Youth Employment Program is now accepting applications through May 24th. This program is income-based and is available to enrolled tribal members of any federally recognized tribe between the ages of 14-24. WHAT A BLAST! 2018 Mining Camp at Montana Tech. June 17-22 on the campus of Montana Tech in Butte. Open to students who will be current high school students during the 2018-19 school year. Cost is $800 which includes all activities, room & board. More information is available in the Counseling Office. June 1 application deadline.
