Primary Multi-Age

Apple Orchard Field Trip

During the Fall of 2000, the Cherry Valley Primary Multi-Age class went on a field trip to Carter's apple orchard. There we picked apples, used an apple press to make apple cider, went on a hike, and played some games. We sure had fun!

"It was a little bit chilly, but fun!"

Dr. Carter showed us how to press apples to make apple cider.

"The apple cider was delicious!"

"It was fun to turn the handle and crush the apples to make apple juice."
"Apple on the run"

We went on a hike and we learned alot about the mountain and the area where the Carter's live. The leaves are almost done changing colors and getting ready to drop.

"We have just one question - is there such a thing as "CHERRY" juice?"
